Art Is You - Three Speckled Hens - Santa Barbara and Flying

Art Is You Petaluma was another wonderful experience of meeting up with old friends, teaching how to repurpose garments into a fun and arty new one, meeting new friends, and vending.  It always seems like such a whirlwind as we try to connect with so many likeminded people in such a short time.  I was so happy my sister Jan was able to join me and was such a big help too!

Here are some of the garments being created in my "Reconstructed, Upcycled, and Wearable!" class.

Getting together on vendor night!

and after

I was home for a few days and then took off to Paso Robles to meet Riki Schumacher at Three Speckled Hens while Michael played golf with friends.  I still get nervous flying in that small plane but I do it anyway.  So nice to get places faster!

At the end of the day we flew on to Santa Barbara to spend the night with cousins.  Marvelous dinner at The Palace Grill!

Flying home the next day.

Fire near the Watsonville airport where we refueled.

I love it when you post about your classes; but, I always get a little jealous. It was cool to see Vicki in her creation. You're being very brave with all your flying.

You never see the world like you do from an airplane. Love the photos of your flight.I think being in a small plane is more fun that a big one.
I'm kind of angry with myself for not taking your class at Art is You but I will next year.
Hope you had fun at Riki's.
Take care.

I spotted my friend Cheryl in one of your pictures! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take your class at Art Is You, NEXT TIME you teach locally, I'm IN!

Think I'd better follow along here .... seeing as how deconstruction may be my next mode of transportation!

Hi Lorri, it was so much fun to see you again at Art Is, loved it. And antique shopping was a blast! Hope we get to do a whole bunch more of that, wink wink! Talk to you soon.
Hugs,
Riki
